The Calhoun Police stopped by the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office with a much-needed bit of help for local parents heading into the holiday season.

New car seats were a real gift provided to the Sheriff’s Office to help with their car seat program, ensuring that they’ve got a good supply of seats to local resident who need to replace old ones to help keep their kids safe in the back of vehicles on Haralson County roads.

The CPD is able to help with the donation thanks to a court program in Gordon County allowing for individuals convicted of misdemeanor offenses to replace fines with car seats purchases.

“We appreciate this donation so much,” the HCSO posted on social media. “It will allow us to give out child car seats to those in need who do not meet our grant specifications.”
