Nancy J. Morris

Nancy J. Morris, age 74, of Bremen, passed away on February 26, 2026, at a local healthcare facility. She was born on June 26, 1951, in Carrollton, the daughter of the late Herman Meeks and Livaria Hand Meeks.

She worked as a seamstress for The Arrow Co. and Hubbard’s, and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Muscadine, Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lendon Meeks, and a granddaughter, Taylor Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Lance Morris; her children, Victoria Kilgore, Elizabeth King (David), and Benjamin Morris (Jennifer); a sister, Judy Hannah; grandchildren, Nathan Kilgore, Meagan Summers (Cody), Madison Kilgore, Gwyneth Morris, Riley Morris, Katie Sweeney (Sean), Chloe King; and great-grandchildren, Carter Summers, Wyatt Summers, Hunter Kilgore, Miles Witt and Aubree Kilgore.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home, and again on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Pleasant Ridge Church from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour.

Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 3:00 pm from Pleasant Ridge Church with Rev. Mark Haney and Rev. Sam Braswell officiating. Jeffery Reid, Cody Summers, Nathan Kilgore, Riley Morris, Christian Scanlon and Carson Cook will serve as pallbearers. Carter Summers, Wyatt Summers, Hunter Kilgore, Miles Witt, and Aubree Kilgore will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.
