James Arthur Alexander, age 83 of Bremen, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

He was born in Carrollton on December 15, 1941, son of the late Arthur Alexander and Ella Alexander Glass.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Corene Poole Alexander; brother, Bobby Alexander; sisters, Mary Flippen, Lizzie Stokes, Rosie Alexander and Daisy Mae Bonner; and grandson Dvante Rashad Williams

Survivors include his sons, Arthur ( Sheila) Alexander of Locust Grove, Georgia and Johnny James (Denise) Willliams of Carrollton; grandchildren, Alexis Miranda Padgett, Arthur Lee Alexander III, Shaquille Martinez Strickland and Jamarius Ridley; great grandchildren, Nola Padgett, Chanel Strickland and Zoey Barclay; special niece, Carolyn Hindsman; nephews Bobby Bonner and Michael Dallas; a host of cousins and other nieces and nephews. He worked at Clayton and Garrett Drugs for many years delivering medications.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Services will be Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Apostle Anthony Dunson officiating.
