A historic turnout statewide was mirrored locally in Haralson County as the polls opened this morning at 12 precincts across the area for the 2024 General Election.
Already, some 10,906 voters already cast their ballot ahead of Election Day out of 22,166 registered voters (those numbers may not reflect additional voters added to the rolls before the Oct. 7 deadline.)
With a 49% turnout already to start off Election Day after three weeks of early voting at the Haralson County Courthouse, it might not be all that busy at local precincts through the rest of the day.
Poll workers are expecting a steady flow of voters heading to the polls today to cast a ballot in the Presidential Election, the District 14 Congressional race and others as the campaign season finally comes to a close later this evening.
Haralson’s 12 precincts will close at 7 p.m.
For those who haven’t voted yet but plan to do so, make sure to visit the State’s My Voter Page to determine which one of these precincts you should visit.
