Ricky “Rick” David Bentley, age 63 of Heflin, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1961, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Jessie Alvin James Bentley and the late Frances Gertrude Weaver Weathington.

In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Bentley, sister Pamela Bentley, and wife, Patricia Spray Bentley.

Ricky was a retired painter having co-owned and operated “Wall Masters” with his brother Chris, and he was an avid stock trader. He enjoyed going to yard sales and finding things he could “tinker” with in his shop. Rick also enjoyed traveling, with his favorite spot being the Great Smoky Mountains.

He loved spending time with those closest to him and was looking forward to being a “pop pop” and spoiling his first grandson. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his fiancé Christina Gammell; and his children and their spouses: Devin (Coramay) Bentley of Bremen, Samantha Weldon of Heflin, Shawn Weldon of Carrollton, Tony Ledbetter of Temple, Tracy Tolbert, Brandon (Jessica) Tolbert both of Bowdon, Bryan (Kelly) Tolbert of Tallapoosa, Tiffany (Kenny) David of Douglasville, and Kelly Tolbert of Franklin. Also surviving are his brothers and sister-in-law, Chris (Terrie) Bentley of Muscadine, Alabama, Wallace Bentley, Jason Bentley, and Steven Bentley all of Carrollton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In honor of Ricky’s wishes, there will be no funeral or viewing.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
